Drury Brennan, the Berlin-based Schriftkunstler, invites people of all backgrounds and skill levels to take part in a workshop covering basic (and not-so-basic) approaches to calligraphy!
Over the course of a day, we will learn the fundamental mechanics of Round-nib, Italic and Gothic scripts, and probably a few more. After lunch, we'll cover approaches to basic layout and how to make your calligraphy come alive with color and dynamics!
Some supplies will be on hand, however we encourage you to bring your own, preferably a selection of chisel-tipped pens / nibs (Pilot Parallel Pens of all sizes are highly recommended) and a lined notebook for writing practice (the Life Tokio notebooks, available at Modulor are quite nice for this purpose).
Hope to see you there!
The price includes some supplies, small refreshments and a light lunch.
