Berlin based designer that works internationally with an emphasis on type design, lettering and illustration.
Martina has worked in design for over twelve years, leading projects in all phases of the process, from naming to concept, from coordination and realisation to production. Her portfolio is composed of identity projects and communication design for enterprises and entrepreneurs, self-initiated projects, type design and lettering. Martina’s work is not devoted to a style, but on using languages and tools that fit each project. She feels as comfortable with using manual techniques as with digital media.
Martina grew up in Buenos Aires and lived in Barcelona and The Hague before finally settling down in Berlin. She dedicated many years of her life to both studying and teaching, gaining a Postgraduate in Communication Design in Escola Elisava, a Master in Type & Media in KABK and conducting research at HS Anhalt. She’s been a lecturer for several years at the University of Buenos Aires and more recently at Hochschule Anhalt. Apart from teaching in academic institutions, she runs and organises workshops in type design and lettering to expand her expertise while conveying the knowledge she has acquired throughout her career.
